A: SpillFix Universal Organic Absorbent rapidly absorbs spills on contact where as kitty litter takes much longer to absorb. You will use much less and will not leave a muddy stain on the surface.

Q: Are all organic absorbents the same?

A: Definitely NO. SpillFix Universal Organic Absorbent is made from coir which does not contain any residual pesticides or chemicals. Many other organic absorbents are chemically treated.

Q: Is SpillFix products made from renewable resources?

A: Yes, SpillFix Universal Organic Absorbent is produced from coconut husks. No trees are ever cut down, and there is no mining involved in producing these products.

Q: Kitty Litter is cheap, how does SpillFix compare in price?

A: Kitty Litter is inexpensive, but has a low absorption ratio (volume applied vs. volume absorbed). This is a factor in tipping fees at both landfills and Waste to Energy Plants, as well as in the valuable landfill space taken up by this material. One pound of Kitty Litter will only pick-up less than one pint of 10w40 motor oil, whereas one pound of SpillFix will absorb nearly 4 pints.

Q: Kitty Litter does not do a very good job of cleaning up my spills, I usually have to use another product to get the oil slick off the floor, and of course all of this takes time. How does SpillFix compare in this area?

A: SpillFix requires no secondary cleaning, leaves no residue, does not soil any waste containers and leaves a perfectly dry waste stream.
